From your call to cash in hand

There are four steps and no surprises in any of them. Most people who call in the morning have the money in their hand and the car off the property by evening.

The four steps

  1. 01

You call, or you tap the form

It takes about a minute. I need three things: what the vehicle is, whether it still rolls and steers, and what town it’s sitting in. You don’t need the VIN, the mileage, or a list of what’s wrong with it. If you’d rather not talk, fill in the three‑step form and I’ll ring you back.

  2. 02

I give you a price on the phone

Usually within five minutes of hearing from you. It’s a real number, not a range that shrinks once I’m standing in your driveway. The price already has the towing in it — nothing gets deducted at the kerb. If you want to think about it, think about it. There’s no deposit and nothing to sign.

  3. 03

    I drive out to you

Same day if you catch me early enough, and I’ll tell you a real window rather than guessing low to keep you happy. You don’t need to move the car, find the keys, air up the tyres, or dig it out of the grass. That’s what the wrecker is for. Driveway, back yard, side street, a shop that’s holding it — wherever it is, that’s where I come.

  4. 04

You get paid, then it goes

Cash in your hand before the car is on the truck. We sort the paperwork at the same time, which is why somebody has to be there. Nothing gets mailed, nothing gets settled later, and I don’t drive off owing you anything.

What to have ready

None of this is a dealbreaker if you can’t find it. It just makes the pickup faster.

Whatever paperwork you have

The title if you’ve got it. Registration, insurance card, or an old bill of sale if you haven’t. No title at all is a normal situation in Texas and often still works — call and ask rather than assuming the car is worthless.

Photo ID

Whoever is selling the car needs to be the person whose name is on the paperwork, and needs an ID that matches it. That’s the part that can’t be worked around.

An adult on site

You or someone you trust with the paperwork and the money. The money and the paperwork change hands at the same moment, so someone has to be standing there.

Your own stuff out of it

Check the glovebox, the boot, and under the seats. Once it’s on the truck it’s gone, and people forget more in these cars than you’d think.

The plates, if they’re still on

Pull them and keep them. They belong to you, not to the car.

What I won’t do

Worth saying plainly, because the category has a reputation and some of it is earned.

Re‑price at the kerb

If the car is what you told me it was, the number I quoted is the number you get. I don’t drive out to talk you down once the truck is already there and you’ve spent your morning waiting.

Charge you for the tow

Towing is free and it isn’t quietly subtracted from your price either. There is one number in this deal.

Pay you later

No cheques, no “I’ll settle up once it’s weighed,” no app transfer that lands next week. Cash, at the kerb, before it moves.

Tell me what it is. I’ll tell you what it’s worth.

One call, a real price, and it’s gone by tonight. Seven days a week, 7am to midnight.
